As a founding partner Dan puts his knowledge and experience in the areas of compliance, governance and regulation to work for clients.

Dan is a graduate of Dalhousie University Law School and in 2010 obtained an MSc as a Sloan Fellow at London Business School in 2010. Dan is a qualified lawyer in both Canada and the UK.

After a successful legal career in Canada Dan joined the International Capital Markets Group of ‘Magic Circle’ law firm Allen & Overy in 2006 following which he was General Counsel and Head of Compliance with Baikal Global, an initiative of the London Stock Exchange Group where, among other things, he led the successful application for authorisation by the then FSA to operate a ‘dark pool’ multi-lateral trading facility. After his role at the LSE he was the General Counsel, Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Head of Compliance at ETX Capital, a global retail derivatives business, where he managed change in the compliance culture of a rapidly evolving business in a turbulent regulatory environment.
